Marian Lecture – Prof Stan Grant 13 May
by Woden South
Dear Marist Association members and friends, I am happy to share the details of the annual Marian Lecture 2025 sponsored by the Marist Association, Canberra.
Event: Marian Lecture 2025. Pilgrims of Hope. Look Beyond.
Place: Staffroom, Marist College Canberra
Date / Time: 13th of May from 5.30pm (starts at 6.00pm)
Come along and enjoy hospitality and conversation as we listen to the wisdom of Professor Stan Grant, a Wiradjuri, Kamilaroi and Dharrawal practitioner, and an award-winning journo, author, moral philosopher, thinker, film maker and communicator. His latest book, Murriyang: Song of Time, offers a path to peace and forgiveness, grounded in a spiritual practice of deep silence and respect.
This resonates with the synodal conversations that enhance our pilgrim journey – practicing active listening in our Marian call to look beyond, to explore structures, issues, ways of being that impact ministry among the Lost, the Least, and the Lonely.
Platters of Turkish food and refreshments will be served from 5.30pm until 6.00pm when we will move into table groups to continue the conversation with Professor Grant who will join us for the Marian Lecture by video link to enrich our discussion and reflection.
Please contact me if you have any questions about the 2025 Marian Lecture.
You can register Here . Please indicate numbers attending for catering purposes.
With thanks,
Brendan Bergin.
Co-ordinator, Marist Association of Canberra.
