Easing of COVID-19 Restrictions by ACT Government. As of 22 February 2022:
1. Density Limits are terminated.
2. Check-In is terminated.
3. Masks are no longer mandatory for liturgical and parochial gatherings (beginning Friday 25 February 2022).
4. Masks are still required for hospital visitation, aged care visitation, home visitation to the sick, and some school settings (check with primary and high schools).
5. Choirs and singing recommence.
6. Reception of Holy Communion:
a. Sacred Host only, not the Precious Blood.
b. Communion in the hand and on the tongue (re-instated).
7. Holy Water fonts can be used.
Please be advised, due to the COVID-19 situation, the ACT may quickly institute new travel and quarantine requirements at any time.
MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS PARISH HEALTH SAFETY PLAN
1. IF YOU ARE UNWELL, STAY AT HOME and please DO NOT attend Mass/Work.
If you have any symptoms i.e. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or been exposed to a contagious disease,
make sure you stay home. Details of public health directions related to Covid-19 affected areas is available at https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/
2. IF YOU HAVE CLEAR SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS and arrive at the church/office you will be turned away. This
plan is in place to protect staff, contractors, volunteers, parishioners & the broader community. If a direction is
issued for our parish church/office to close due to a confirmed case of Covid-19, WorkSafe ACT will be notified.
3. DENSITY LIMITS ARE TERMINATED. MASKS are now optional.
4. CLEAN YOUR HANDS by maintaining good hand washing/sanitising and cough/sneeze hygiene.
Please wash your hands or use the hand sanitiser provided before entering and upon leaving the premises.
5. PROVIDED ANTIBACTERIAL WIPES AND/OR SPRAY ARE AVAILABLE TO WIPE ALL CONTACT SURFACES you
use in the church for private prayer and any books you use/touch etc…
The Church will be cleaned before and after masses by our volunteers. Please offer to help out.
6. CARE remember you have an obligation to follow these protocols for the safety of yourself and others.
