Dear Diocesan Contacts and Group Coordinators,
The XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops has now concluded and the Final Document from the Synod is now available.
The Final Document of the Synod
The Final Document was approved by the Synod participants on Saturday 26 October and the Italian version of the document is now available here:
https://www.synod.va/en/news/final-document-of-the-xvi-assembly.html
The English translation of the document is expected in the next few days and we will promulgate that when it is available.
Thank you all for your continued engagement, prayers and support as we have navigated this unprecedented event in the Church.
Below are some further articles which discuss the document and the conclusion of the Synod assembly:
Archbishop Costelloe elected to Ordinary Council of the Synod
Archbishop Timothy Costelloe, Archbishop of Perth and President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, has been elected to serve on the Ordinary Council of the General Secretariat of the Synod, along with 11 others. The Council’s role will include the implementation of the current synodal process, as well as preparation for the next Synod.
